Introduction
Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd (KSITL) in association with leading Industry skill development organizations across the state initiated the Skills Delivery Platform (SDPK). The platform’s vision is to provide industry-relevant employability skills training programs to engineering, polytechnic, and graduate students across Kerala state.
Goal
The main goal was to upskill engineering and polytechnic students to job ready while graduating from college. Also, to build a secure learning management system to connect 150+ engineering colleges and polytechnics across Kerala state and to deliver online skill development courses to 1,00,000+ students every year.
Solution
Development of a customized e-learning platform and integration with Cisco’s video conferencing solution.
Enfin developed a custom learning management system, designed to deliver online courses to 150+ engineering colleges across Kerala state. The LMS includes a course builder, encrypted and secure video streaming, live virtual classroom, online assessment, assignments, integrated e-commerce to sell courses, and many more facilities. The learning suite was set up in collaboration with Godrej and Cisco, including Smart Classrooms with Cisco’s high-end video conferencing system devices and LG’s Touch screen displays, closely integrated with the LMS platform to deliver online skill courses and live classes.
Results
Enfin’s LMS enables 100,000+ students to acquire industry-level skills
The implementation of Enfin’s learning management system resulted in the cost-effective upskilling of engineering students across Kerala. The LMS provided online assessments and interview skill training, making them job-ready while graduating from college. With the integration of Smart Classrooms, the students could access online courses and take part in live classes from their respective engineering colleges. This initiative provided an opportunity for the students to acquire industry-relevant skills, and they are now more employable.
Conclusion
Enfin’s custom learning management system, in partnership with Godrej and Cisco, provided a practical and cost-effective solution for Kerala’s Skills Delivery Platform. The LMS connected 150+ engineering colleges and polytechnics across Kerala state and provided students with online courses and live classes. The system’s integration with Smart Classrooms made it possible for students to access courses and take part in live classes from their respective colleges. With Enfin’s LMS, the students are now job-ready and more employable, which is a significant contribution to the state’s economy.
